Why I Ride

The passion I have for both riding and building/working on bikes has been a lifelong fulfillment. When I was young, biking was my transportation and hobby. As an adult, it is my livelihood. I live to bike and bike to live. Cycling keeps me healthy, keeps me sane, and yields some pretty incredible moments. The freedom I feel when riding a bike (road or mountain) is an amazing experience for the mind, body, and soul. Bottom line... I ride because I am able and I ride for those who can't.

This will be my 10th Courage Classic and I'm looking forward to doing whatever I can to help the Children's Hospital continue to provide the most incredible care for those kids who need it. Your contribution will greatly help. Thanks!

Why I Support The Children's Hospital

Sonja was born in November 2008 with complex heart and digestive issues. Her parents founded Sonja’s Soldiers in her honor because, thanks to Children’s, baby Sonja is growing up – one day at a time.

Spencer was struck by a car while riding his bike when he was 6 years old. With Children’s help, he fought severe head injuries to become the healthy teen – and strong rider – he is today.

Nick was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 5 years old. His parents founded Team Nickcycle to support Children’s for providing him with the best possible treatment.

Ellaura rides to give back, she says. Now healthy and active at 17, she has been a neurology patient at Children’s since she was 4 years old.
